The practice of yoga is about coming together and sharing our energy with no expectations or judgment.

Please only show up to class 10 minutes before class time.  If you are a brand new student, you may come in 15 minutes before class time to register.

Class Descriptions

Rise and Shine

The class combines Vinyasa flows with longer-held asanas leading to strength and flexibility throughout the body and mind.  A focus on our breath will guide Vinyasa flows.  We will practice finding healthy alignment and noticing how to engage parts of bodies to increase strength and flexibility in longer held poses.  All of this with a bit of fun and levity.

Sunrise Morning Vinyasa-Intermediate

A beautiful way to greet the day by energizing the body and clearing the mind to prepare for what is going to unfold during the day. A yoga session to help you embrace the day with more energy, awareness, and resilience. Some inversions included such as shoulder stand or headstands (prep for headstands).

Level- Intermediate

Lunch Hour Yoga

A 65-minute yoga session is a perfect choice for your busy day.  Perfect for those who need a break from work, to let go physically, mentally, and emotionally with a yoga session and be ready to embrace what lies ahead at work or thereafter.

Core Connection

A yoga session focusing on strengthening the core.  Using some non-traditional and traditional yoga postures to improve core strength.  A strong core is more than physical, it is important for balance, digestion and for better emotional health. Knowledge of basic yoga poses and alignment necessary.

Candle Light Yoga/Community Class

Celebrating light in Alaska whether winter or summer with a yoga session.  An evening of soft glow with candlelight and gentle yoga postures to open the body and calm the mind. It’s an ideal way to end the day or week with a calming practice.

Gentle Yoga and Restorative Yoga

The perfect class to slow down and reconnect. A calming practice to relax and nourish the body.  Blending with some gentle movements with deep and nourishing restorative postures.   This is a community class offered at a discounted price of $8 cash.

Slow Flow yoga

A slower-paced movement synchronized with the breath. Holding poses for exploration of alignment, strength, and flexibility.

Yoga Basics

A basic guide to yoga postures and sequences. Focus on alignment, foundation, and breath awareness.

Vibrant Vinyasa- Intermediate

A strong paced movement of yoga poses to energize the body and mind.  Flowing with the breath and allowing for a fluid transition from posture to posture. Recommended for students with 12 months or more of yoga practice.

Ashtanga Level I

This is a 75-minute intro to the Ashtanga primary series of poses. Exploring mainly the standing and seated postures of the primary series.  Linking together postures, creating a flowing dynamic movement. Each posture preparing the body and mind to the next posture. A Vinyasa based movement emphasizing focus or gaze (drsti), the breath (pranayama) and the energy “locks” (bandha) resulting in a powerful practice. A perfect practice to strengthen the body as well as staying focused and with a calm mind. Suitable for those with a minimum 6 months of consistent yoga practice.

This class is offered on alternating Saturdays.  Ideal for those who are looking to learn the Ashtanga Method.

Intro to Ashtanga Level II

This is a 90-minute intro to the Ashtanga primary series of poses. Focus is on linking together postures, creating a flowing dynamic movement. Each posture preparing the body and mind for the next posture. A Vinyasa based movement emphasizing focus or gaze (drsti), the breath (pranayama) and the energy “locks” (bandha) resulting in a powerful practice. A perfect practice to strengthen the body as well as staying focused and with a calm mind. Suitable for those with a minimum 12 months of consistent yoga practice.

Note: Ashtanga Level I is a 90-minute session offered on alternating Saturdays at 11:15 am. More time is spent on exploring the postures in Level 1. Recommend attending Level 1 before Level 11 Intro to Ashtanga.

Inner Wisdom Flow

A morning practice to start your weekend.  A slow gentle movement with an emphasis on the breath.  Sharing the knowledge and wisdom of yoga lineages, through words, mantra, or meditation.

Gentle Yoga and Meditation

A class for yoga students who want to begin a meditation practice.  After practicing gentle yoga asanas, part of the class will be used to explore different meditation techniques.
