YOGA AND WELLNESS

wellness

When you wake up in the morning, do you feel at your best? Our body functions much like the cycle of the Sun; from Sun rise to Sun Set. Our energy levels should be at prime in the morning and daytime. Then the body adjusts it’s energy levels from evening to night in preparation for rest and sleep. This natural cycle is called the Circadium Rhythm. Living a busy life with no time for self care impacts the Circadium Rhythm causing signs of mind and body distress and overtime accelarating the natural aging process.

These are some signs the body is not functioning at it’s optimum. If we don’t pay attention, then it starts showing up in our moods, personality, relationships, careers, and a disconnect to our sense of self. The further we go with no self-Care we end up compromising our HORMONES, IMMUNITY, DIET, DIGESTION, NERVOUS SYSTEM AND ENERGY leading to chronic diseases. We can build a healthier lifestyle by taking into our own hands about our health. It an amazing sense of freedom when we get educated rather than medicated!

FEELING WELL IN YOUR OWN BODY

Living a life of Wellness is experiencing all of life no matter the age

When you know and feel well in your body, there is more exuberence, vitality and sustenance. However, it is not easy to always truly feel “well” these days. The main reason is “STRESS.” Stress causes many disfunctions in our bodies. Stress impacts our digestion, absorption of nutrition, sleep patterns, immune system, nervous system function; all of which can trigger diseases. Let’s be honest, there is stress in our relationships, jobs, finances and everyday living.

If only everyone could follow a daily yoga practice, it can really help to lower stress and improve overall health and mental attitudes. Unfortunately, many people don’t realize what everyday stress can do to the body and mind. I see after every yoga class, how people feel better in their bodies and moods. Yoga resets the nervous system into rest and digest. That positively impacts all other systems in the body. For some that “feeling good ” is only temporary and soon forget that connection. Bottom line, if we want to feel good then we have to keep trying. Give your body the best choices!

WHAT IS A FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTIC NUTRITIONIST PRACTIONER?

Hello, I am Sandy Walters, the owner of Namaste North Yoga. After over a decade of teaching Yoga, I have noticed that people don’t practice enough to see the full value of a well rounded yoga practice or they are already nearing exhaustion. The analogy I like to make here is of a car. It’s like when we fill our gas tank for our car. We have a guage to show us how we are doing on our fuel. Sometimes we may even go on “Empty” alert for a few miles before refueling. Our bodies unfortunately doesn’t have a guage to show us that we are near exhaustion and the impact of that to our bodies systems. We may have symptoms show up but do not pay attention or ignore it.

The best approach is when we focus on the whole body, mind and spirit.

This is why I chose to add Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist Practioner (FDNP) services. https://www.functionaldiagnosticnutrition.com/about-fdn-functional-testing/

FDN is a health revitalising, health educating and self treatment program that is created to improve overall health.  At FDN, the primary goal is to educate others on their own health challenges and create a holistic protocol for recovery and relief.

A customized 90 day plan in Diet, Rest, Excercise Stress Reduction and targeted natural supplements (DRESS) is created just for you. The beauty of the program is to not only educate you but to give you the opportunity to run Clinical Labs (like the gas gauge in the car) to understand how your body is functioning in the areas of Hormones, Immunity, Digestion, Diet and Nervous System. This is about taking your health into your own hands. Get informed, take action and be the best version of yourself. When we feel good and well, everyone else feels it and benefits from it too!
